It is with pride that we announce that MPS is soon to have a beautiful waharoa adorning the entrance to our auditorium.

Hand-carved by master carver Harry Wakaira. An experienced master carver who was responsible for the large waharoa at Orakei Marae, Ngati Whatua, mana whenua for our school and more recently completed a waharoa for a school in the North Shore.

The completion date our taonga is for late November, and the project is already underway.

It is the intention that when whānau and visitors see it, they will feel connected to our school’s kaupapa of being a Steiner school in Aotearoa.
