At Michael Park we believe that understanding your place in the world is an important aspect of understanding yourself. With this in mind, we actively support Class 10 students to pursue reciprocal exchanges with students attending other Steiner schools around the world.
Due to travel restrictions as a result of COVID, we are currently not accepting applications for exchange students*. As soon as the current situation eases, we look forward to welcoming students from overseas to our wonderful school and country again. Details of the student exchange process are given below.

Student Exchange Information
Student exchanges happen in Class 10 only.
Exchanges happen between Michael Park students and students in other Steiner schools only.
A Michael Park student (and their family) host an exchange student for one term. At another point in Class 10, the Michael Park student will spend one term with their exchange student and their family/school. This can happen in either order.
In order to maintain the integrity of the learning at Michael Park, we manage when students go out/exchange students are hosted during the year. This is an important part of the dialogue that must take place early in the process between prospective exchange students and our school.
There are no costs for attending an overseas school. Students continue to pay for an entire year at Michael Park although they will be absent for one term.
The process is parent led but supported by Michael Park School. This can be time consuming and so we recommend families of potential exchange students begin this process at least six months prior to the anticipated start date or by the middle of Class 9 at the latest.
Parents of our Class 9 students will be contacted by our exchange coordinator during the year to begin to explore the possibilities.
Non-Michael Park students may contact our exchange coordinator, at any point to begin to explore exchange possibilities.
