Step into our unique school village, nestled within the big city
Kia ora whanau,
The Secretary for Education, Iona Holsted, sent out an email to all school leaders just before 1pm and has lifted the direction to keep schools closed til Tuesday.
After conversations with our presiding member and a meeting with our SLT, we will open the school on Friday starting with our powhiri at 9am; the kindergarten will open at 11:30am.
School will finish at 2:05pm for Classes 1-7 and 3pm for Classes 8-12. Kindergartens will finish at 2pm.
Tomorrow will be a teacher only day for all staff.
Thursday will also provide further opportunity for the grounds to dry up and final checking of classrooms and buildings before we welcome everyone back.
Class 11 and 12 students only who have timetable or option issues are invited to come into the high school tomorrow to meet with our Horizon coordinator, Melanie Bray and Deputy Principal, Andrew Johnstone before school starts on Friday. Please email Mrs Bray directly if you have any questions about your options.
Further communication about Friday’s powhiri will be sent out tomorrow.
Ngā manaakitanga,
