💲🪙 🛒 Class 6 Market Day was a big success!

Our budding entrepreneurs displayed their creativity, teamwork and business savvy — from pricing strategies and promotion to customer service, they put their Commercial Maths Main Lesson learning into action.

Stalls featured everything from handmade crafts, raffles and lucky dips, to secondhand books, tasty treats, and even a petting zoo! 📚🍪🐕

✨ PJ Day = Pure Joy! ✨
Today our kura was a sea of flannel, fleece and fun as students and staff came to school in their cosiest pajamas — all for a good cause.

Our amazing Gift of Hope charity team, along with Class 11, hosted a delicious “midnight feast” style morning tea, raising funds for Kidz First Hospital at Middlemore. With winter hitting hard, they also collected brand new PJs for children in need — and our generous community truly delivered. Ngā mihi nui to everyone who donated!

Students also had the chance to sign up for the World Vision 40-Hour Challenge, supporting families in the Solomon Islands. 💛🌏

Helping others, sharing warmth, and having a whole lot of fun along the way — that’s the MPS way.

As our Class 7 students cross the threshold into adolescence, we challenge them to carve a mould in sandstone – a void that will be filled with molten metal, replacing the empty space. Casting metals is a symbolic gesture of their departure from childhood, as they carve away what is no longer needed and fill it with the reality they envision.

The first attempt at handling the gas burner is always daunting, but soon, handling the molten metal gives them a deep sense of accomplishment. The final stage requires determination – to file, sand, and polish their piece to the highest possible standard – in pursuit of their best self. ⛏️🔥🪨
