Birthdays in our Kindergarten are a celebration of the unique individuality of each child. A birthday celebration sensitively touches on the questions:
‘What is it to be a human being?’ ‘Who am I really?’
‘Where did I come from? ‘Who made me?’
And, ‘Why am I on the earth with you?’

We have a garden rather than a playground in our Rudolf Steiner Kindergarten.
Why?
The sensory overload of a busy life can leave us empty, or even thirsting for more stimulation. For tamariki it can be like growing up with sensory deprivation.
A garden nourishes the senses and bring nature back into the lives of children.
