100 years of Waldorf early childhood. 🌼

This Saturday, Michael Park Kindergarten is opening its doors as part of a nationwide celebration marking 100 years of Steiner/Waldorf early childhood education.

Come and spend a morning with us and experience a little of the magic of kindergarten life. Puppet plays, watercolour painting, silk butterfly crafting, bubbles and sunflower seed planting, freshly baked kindergarten buns with rainbow butter and lemonade, plus the chance to meet our kaiako and explore the kindergartens.

A beautiful morning of childhood, creativity, nature and community.

Introducing THE SCHOOL RUN 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

While most of us have been sleeping, seven Michael Park parents and one teacher have been sneaking out in the early mornings and late at night, training to take on the full Auckland Marathon – all to raise funds for our school playground.

It’s a huge challenge, and they need our support.

Please donate if you can, share the link far and wide, and cheer them on as they clock up the kilometres. Send it to your grannies, brothers-in-law, childhood sweethearts, co-workers – anyone who might help us get them over the line.

They’re running through the pain so you don’t have to.

Class 11 and Class 12 participated in the Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) last week. Class 11 represented Afghanistan, and Class 12 represented Switzerland. Our students had a great time learning about international politics and global issues. Thanks to Ms. Valyashko for her incredible debate coaching!
