The name of our waharoa is “Hikoia te hikoi” – walk the walk. Moving forward, hiokia te hikoi, walk the walk is going to be a relevant term to follow with the work that we will be embarking on next year 🌱🚶‍♀️

This year’s Craft Week was a special one 🌱

The simple act of transforming matter with dedication and devotion engages not only the will, but our inner emotions and critical thinking. It is the maker that is transformed in the process ♻️

Thank you to our cooking students who raised $800 for our wider community in need this Christmas 🫶 and our wood work students who helped carve a new threshold for the entrance of our school.

We are collecting festive food and gifts for the Salvation Army again this year 🎁 🍲

The next few months of celebration and giving can be the opposite for already struggling families in our community. The luxury of participating in festivities like gift-giving and shared meals is one not all have. We want to make sure that this year, they can 🎉

Can you help us?

If not food, think festive treats and gifts for teenagers (moisturiser, nail polish, cute accessories, sketch books, etc.) This is an often overlooked demographic, and we want them to feel seen too.

There will be a donation box in the school office, or you can bring your donation to the Community Advent & Carols evening on 7th December – a warm way to finish the year 🫂
