Our school will be celebrating the Winter equinox with the Takurua Festival.
Food will be sold by class 8 as a fundraiser from 4:00pm.
The celebration will start at 5:30pm with classes 1-7 singing midwinter songs, after which the whole community will do the lantern walk around our school, across a village of grottos, to end at a huge double spiral in the soccer field. While lower school classes go back into their rooms to hear stories, a few fires will be lit in the lower school field where food will be roasted.
