As part of their Ancient Rome Main Lesson, Class 6 explored the rich artistic traditions of Roman life by creating mosaics inspired by the geometric patterns found in the ruins of Pompeii.

This hands-on engagement not only deepened their understanding of Roman culture and aesthetics but also became a living part of their learning: the mosaics were incorporated into the set for their Term 3 play, The Last Days of Pompeii, which the students wrote themselves.

In true Waldorf spirit, this project wove together history, art, mathematics, and storytelling, allowing students to bring the world of Ancient Rome to life.
